If you or your child are already working with a therapist, Dr. Dasler can work with you to determine whether medications would be an suitable treatment option to consider as part of a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plan. To learn more or to schedule an initial appointment, please call 303-243-4556.

For all new patient appointments, please contact Mylynda at the scheduling office: 303-346-0780

What to expect at your first appointment:

For children and adolescents: Dr. Dasler will meet with the child and parents together to gather a general history. She will meet with the child or adolescent alone for assessment purposes, and then there will be time to meet with the parents alone if additional history is needed. At the end of the appointment, Dr. Dasler will provide her initial diagnostic impression, and either a recommendation for treatment or the need for further information (e.g.: history from a therapist, the school, etc).

What happens next?

If additional information is needed, a follow up visit will be scheduled to review treatment options. If a medication is started at the first visit, you will schedule your next appointment on line, usually within 2-4 weeks. This initial stage of treatment involves determining which medication and dose is optimal for you or your child, and typically lasts 1-3 months. During this time Dr. Dasler will meet with you ever 2-4 weeks depending on the medication prescribed. Once an optimal response has been achieved, follow up appointments are typically once every 3 months to monitor symptoms.

Please note: practice standards require all patients to be seen in person, at minimum, every three months. This is important to remember when scheduling your next appointment, so your prescription does not lapse.

Dr. Dasler is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. Prior to scheduling an appointment , please contact your insurance company to determine what their reimbursement rate is for out-of-network providers.

If you wish to utilize out-of-network benefits, you will be provided with a “superbill” so you may submit a request for reimbursement. The type of reimbursement that you are eligible for will depend on your insurance, network constraints, and the nature of your deductible for services. People may use their flex or health care spending account (HSA) as well.

When calling your insurance company:
  1. Ask if your policy includes reimbursement for out-of-network providers
  2. If you have this benefit, ask for the address or website to submit a claim to seek reimbursement. Also determine if there is a specific form needed to submit your claim.
  3. I will provide you with an itemized receipt or “superbill” that includes your date of service, diagnostic code, and the procedure code.
