Deborah Babcock


Ms. Babcock has been working in the mental health field for nearly 20 years and has experience ranging from early childhood to chronic adult, in a variety of settings. The experience comes from, community mental health outpatient clinics, residential treatment homes and day treatment. Ms. Babcock enjoys working mostly with children and their families to help them cope with a variety of issues such as behavioral and school related issues, peer relationships, family relationships including grief and loss or divorce, as well as victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence or other traumatic events. Although she sees children of all ages, she specializes in early childhood.

Ms. Babcock is trained in Play Therapy which helps children learn to express and cope with their feelings and to address the emotional and behavioral concerns in a comfortable way. She works with parents to help them understand their child's feelings and behavior while teaching skills to help address their concerns. Ms. Babcock is skilled in diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Additionally, she is a National Consultant for Functional Family Therapy, LLC, which is an evidenced-based program targeting youth at risk where she's involved in therapist training and supervisor development.
